Bayete Inkosi! SilverstoneCIS Gold at 2008 Assegais

Bayete Inkosi! SilverstoneCIS bags 2 Gold Assegai Awards and brings home the coveted Inkosi Assegai (DMA Grand Prix Award) for AdMe.

SilverstoneCIS brought home the Inkosi Award for Vodacom with the AdMe Opt-in Mobile Marketing Platform and Mobile Marketing Campaign at the Direct Marketing Association's Assegai Awards Thursday, 6 November 2008. This is the second independent direct awards under the DMA banner since 2003.

Brian Mdluli, CEO of DMASA, said he was proud of the SilverstoneCIS team and for what AdMe has done for "response-able" direct marketing through mobile in South Africa.

According to Mr Mdluli, the number of entries and diversity of entrants speak volumes about the credibility and high regard for the Assegai Awards afforded by some of the biggest brands in the country.

The team earned the Digital Media: Mobile Gold Assegai award for the exceptional results and return on investment generated through the AdMe Marketing Campaign which was executed exclusively using the mobile medium.

AdMe currently has more than 250,000 opt-in members, achieved banner click thru rates of between 1% and 6%, on average more than 10,000 unique visitors to the AdMe mobi site per day, and an average action rate of over 50% over a period of 9 months. It's clear that the campaign is a huge success - the judges agreed!

The second Gold Assegai was awarded under the Technology and Innovation Category for the AdMe Platform itself - it allows advertisers and direct marketers to leverage the AdMe Opt-in Base through pinpoint targeting and managed mobile messaging.

The DMA Assegai iNkosi Award bears testimony to the AdMe platform's claim that it is defining the standard for responsible, permission based mobile marketing.
